Very impressive.

Simply put, this Flash animation is phenomenal.

The art style was fantastic, utilizing many different colors and shades that made each pokemon look vibrant and alive.

The animation itself flowed very well and used many alternating extreme camera angles that gave the video a constant sense of action. You certainly have an eye for how to properly utilize these, and it shows.

Your effects are also some of the best I have ever seen. Each beam or ice attack shimmered and glowed enough for it to look realistic, but not be distracting.

The music fit along with the art style, a catchy but not overbearing theme that added to the animation without interrupting the video itself.

The story is not all that important, but it is nice to see that you made one anyway, it at least gives a sense of individuality to the characters, even if they are only fighting. I also enjoyed how you introduced the characters by panning over a double layered image in a very anime-ish style.

As far as negatives go, the only thing I could pick at is how it is quite short, and that the health bars depleting was a bit much when multiple enemies were killed. (This looked fine for Steelix and the individual enemies, so I will assume you just wanted to be consistent)

Congrats on front page, and good luck on your next animation, original or not, I am sure it will be great.

I don't get it.

I was never a fan of the earlier ones either, but thought I would check it out. The thing is, there are two main problems dialogue-wise.

The first is that using inside jokes is a very risky thing, the whole concept of them is that it has a "you had to be there" element to it. So more often than not, most outsiders will not be able to find it as funny.

The second is that it is also flooded with many jokes that have no need to be included. So many unnecessary dick and gay jokes that really don't relate to the content at all. These jokes seem more forced than anything, and when doing a parody based on the humor of the series, why not use something relate able?

Considering each individual game and character has it's own funny aspects that you could poke fun at, it really should be included. The whole thing is that the characters would NEVER say this, but why not take an ironic turn, and use opposite character personalities instead of randomness?

Now all of that said, the first couple were successful, so it does make sense to continue the same trend. I am certainly not the target audience, considering I didn't really enjoy Brawl all that much in comparison to Melee, but as a minor SSB fan, I expected to at least get one of the jokes, but I really didn't.

Now the only way to get past some dialogue flaws would be graphics and animation, but there is also a problem. The characters are drawn in an inconsistent manner, because this is a collaboration. Now the issue with this is the ones used are not presented in a very "front page" manner. It all seems quite choppy with the exception of the intro. It also lack the ascetic charm of say, an Egoraptor animation, which displays itself in a badly drawn way, but with a quirky style that makes it enjoyable to look at.

The voice acting was well done, but there were many problems with volume levels, I realize a person screaming should be louder than one talking, but it was taken to a much higher level than it should have, and was somewhat jarring.

This is certainly not a bad animation, but it never hurts to have content that can be enjoyed be both hardcore fans and casual viewers.

Overall a 6/10
Congrats on front page, and good luck on your future projects.

It's funny.

It is very rare for a flash to make up an animation with sound, but you did it, although short, it was hilarious. You have a very egoraptor-ish quality to your voice, and it makes this a very funny fight scene.

The only thing would be to improve on the animation, with maybe more FPS and make it longer, at least a minute or so. Keep the sound the way it is, your next animation could be front page material.

good work.

Sweetaga responds:

Thank you, I appreciate it. Ill get started on my next one soon.

Well done

Now I typically am not a fan of animations that are too serious or depressing, but this was well done. This is on a very personal level, so it seems like something that is not intended for entertainment purposes, but is more so to prove a point.

So first of is the graphics, I liked the way the main character looks and overall the animation is well colored and coordinated. The backgrounds looked nice as well.

The animation was a bit choppy at certain points, but you really got a very fluid running animation, and that is hard to do. Also I liked how some of your background had looped movement.

The story was nice with a good element of suspense and emotion to it, and so it makes the character (or you) more real.

The sound, I am torn on this, while the music is fantastic, the sound clips are a bit lacking, the sound of him running almost sounds like he is running through little puddles, even though he is on the sidewalk, and later the grass(in which case, this would fit). But it is nice to see voiced animations.

The idea is the main selling point, the fact that it is a story of your life makes it more significant and relevant than the typical flash animation submitted to NG. I also think the title is very eye catching, good choice there.

Overall an 8/10
I can tell a lot of work has been put into this, with good drawings, animation and music. Looking forward to the next one!

Dead2Animations responds:

Wow.....thanks for a great review, I have just got a new microphone so there will be no more crappy sounds. Everything in the next episode is going to be a very gripping session for me, I have almost come to the point of crying bringing up these bad memories and are most certain tears will run in the making of my next episode. Thanks for a good review!

I like it

The thing is, the first one was just flat out hilarious, so it is pretty tough to top it with a sequel, Tails exploding was pretty damn funny however. But I would have rather seen Vegeta win :D

The graphics took an odd turn though, they seem better, but in a weird way, it is drawn better, but it doesn't use the right style the first one had, if that made any sense at all.

The sound was good, I like how you kept that same song for the intro, the voices weren't bad, but not fantastic either.

There wasn't much for fighting, not that it's a surprise, it was one sided, like the first, but again, lacked the charm the first had. The part with Vegeta stomping on Sonic's head and cracking the planet in half is one of the best scenes in any parody flash.

Overall it was still enjoyable, but you can set up for disappointment by adding a sequel to a classic :)

Rikimaru-Azlar responds:

WOW, that was a fantastic review. You're comments are very useful indeed. You broke everything down and got your points across quickly and efficiently. You have a gift for writing ThiefCopy. Thanks for checking the movie out and sorry it let you down a bit.

We are a 2 man team, Rikimaru-Azlar : Paddy-Andie

Andie made the original and I made this one. Good news for you I hope is that i think this has provoked him to put the series to bed and I know doing so will require a decent coreagraphed fight scene and unpresidented gore.
Thanks again for getting me thinking.

hmmm not bad

Considering the lack of MH flashes, this was a welcome surprise.

Everything and everyone was drawn very well, I also liked the little character info thing you tossed in there. The music was funny and fit quite well.

The sound syncing was off by quite a bit, which is a shame because it looks like you put a lot of effort into voices and mouth movement. It may just be me however. So if it is, just disregard that comment.

Also, even though this is a MH flash, as an avid MH player I couldn't really relate to this. Kut-Ku runs are great easy quests for money, so people always want to do them. Also, I don't get the gun thing. He couldn't shoot normal shots, which would be 1/2/3, now I understand that he had normal shots in his gun, but then how did he shoot in the first place when his bullet bounced off? Didn't really get it. Now, this is likely more of a type of inside joke with your friends, but I think it would have worked out better if you chose a more relate-able topic. Such as plate runs, Uppercut GS attacks, Pellet shots, people asking how you got dragon armor. Stuff like that.

(The plate runs is a MH PS2 thing)

The pronunciation of some things threw me off though. Like Wyvern, Kut-ku, and such.

Ever play MHP2G? The English version should be out this year, but the Japanese has been out for a while, the Cat partner would be a great thing to make fun of. There are also some other additions that you could easily work with. (Great game too by the way)

Now this animation had some flaws, but overall I enjoyed watching, and it is rare to see an MH animation anyway. Good work!

VikingLock responds:

Thank you for your review the story only lack MH related topic because i haven't play it for awhile.

Absolutey outstanding

Almost flawless animation, phenomenal voice acting, and a great idea.
It is really hard for me to do much of a real review because I don't see any flaws.

Put simply, this has some of the most fluid animation I have ever seen, is voiced by fantastic voice actors, has great lyrics, and is funny. And all in all, is a 10 out of 10, this should NEVER be taken off of the front page.

Great job guys, congratulations on front page, and you deserve your own T.V show for this.

Wow

Hinata is my favorite character, and I found this HILARIOUS! The voices were so bad, but in a good way. But you're right Hinata hasn't done much in anything that wasn't a filler, even that 64 Palm Guard move was in filler.. The "Sasuke doesn't love you" part was just plain awesome. But you could have done a better job tracing the manga however, there were quite a few noticeable flaws.

People need to stop being so weird and just learn to laugh, Naruto isn't real, as much as I hope she's not dead, you picked out a lot of funny things. One thing though, in one part you said Naruto wrong (unless that was intentional and you wanted people to mention it)

Graphics: Not bad animation-wise, but could have been drawn better.

Sound: Weird voices, but they made me laugh, guess that's the point. No bad sound syncing or volume problems, which is impressive.

Concept: It is almost ironic how you point out the plot cliche's, and yet you made yet another Naruto flash, which is a cliche in itself. But you at least made it about something recent. (Have all the people reviewing actually been keeping up with the manga? Didn't know there were that many.)

Overall it was very enjoyable to watch, funny, and the part at the end was well done, and a nice way to finish off the animation.

9/10

-1 Because the drawing could have been better, also because I don't like giving perfect 10/10's

Congrats on front page! Keep it up!

Great...

Very well done and creative. I have no idea how you came up with such a bizarre idea but it worked! The whole concept is ridiculous, and has well done effects with a good ending. What more could you want?

As good as this is however, it is also limited because there is only so much you can do with this idea before it becomes redundant, and while I really enjoyed this, it is certainly not something that would get me to watch more than a few times.

Graphics: Very impressive use of real life objects and added visuals.

Sound: Typical sound effects, neither good nor bad.

Humor: Quite funny simply because of the random-ness.

Concept: There aren't that many flashes that make use of real scripted films, so this is unique in that way.

Overall: 9/10, an original idea with impressive visuals.

Good work and congrats on front page!

RatherRandomReality responds:

Thank you ThiefCopy for the long review. And yes, I agree that there is not much more to do with the idea, there are many people who mentioned they would like to see a sequel but I'm not sure what to do without repeating the same concept over again. So we'll see, I have this idea to take it in a different direction.

Nice

Not Hillariously funny, but there is something hypnotic about it that will keep you watching many times over. A very trippy sound and style in combination with an animal no one ever makes a flash animation about. The thing is that it could be longer, I was just really starting to enjoy it by the time it loops again, which could be because you wanted it to be that way. Sort of a short but sweet animation that makes sure not to overdo anything, fair enough.

Graphics: Very nice, the Narwals look funny, and the constant changing clips to go with the song are nice.

Sound: Like most flash animations of this genre, the song is the whole point, no amount of animation would make up for an annoying song, luckily, this is not the case. the lyrics were completely outrageous, in a good way.

Overall a great animation, congrats on front page!
