Great...

Very well done and creative. I have no idea how you came up with such a bizarre idea but it worked! The whole concept is ridiculous, and has well done effects with a good ending. What more could you want?

As good as this is however, it is also limited because there is only so much you can do with this idea before it becomes redundant, and while I really enjoyed this, it is certainly not something that would get me to watch more than a few times.

Graphics: Very impressive use of real life objects and added visuals.

Sound: Typical sound effects, neither good nor bad.

Humor: Quite funny simply because of the random-ness.

Concept: There aren't that many flashes that make use of real scripted films, so this is unique in that way.

Overall: 9/10, an original idea with impressive visuals.

Good work and congrats on front page!

RatherRandomReality responds:

Thank you ThiefCopy for the long review. And yes, I agree that there is not much more to do with the idea, there are many people who mentioned they would like to see a sequel but I'm not sure what to do without repeating the same concept over again. So we'll see, I have this idea to take it in a different direction.

Heh....

"Mommy, I want to be Japanese when I grow up.

NO SON. You're Korean. You are not Japanese, and you never will be. Stop reading your "manga" and learn to embrace your own culture. Eat this Kimchi. I SAID EAT IT."

This quote is one of the funniest things I have ever read.

Anyway, I saw your "updated" version of this, so this one is obviously of a lower caliber. Thought I would leave a review though.

"Anime is stupid and the people who zeroed it are weeaboo fucks. Don't listen to them, because you are right."

People are supposed to vote on the quality of flash being produced, anyone who votes 10 must be retarded, regardless of whether they agree with the opinion or not.

But it is tagged as a useless review, nice to see that you are not in the hardcore elitist category.

The same recommendations go for this one that did for your updated one however.

The thing is though, it seems like you churn out a lot of these types of flashes, it's cool that you use flash and NG as a way to express your opinion or disgust for people that annoy you, hell I did it in one of my animations, but it seems like there is too much of a notoriety factor happening here now.

Why don't you make a high quality flash with the same ideas, it would be front page worthy.

Kyothine responds:

I'm only doing this to troll Newgrounds and its rabid weeaboo fucktards. I don't care about anime tbh

hmm interesting

At first it was almost much to reminiscent of the original "My Newgrounds" but a bit further in, you managed to get your own style and tone, which is a good thing.

The whole presentation was very good, the sound effects and animation were spot on, and I liked how you said a bit about yourself on a personal level, good stuff.
But
it is pronounced "mahn ga" not "mang ga"

^Pretty much the only thing that I could pick at as far as negatives go, sorry for that.

Overall I'll give a 4/5 and 8/10, it was well presented, but the fact that it is almost a parody is why I cannot really give you the full 100%

Congrats on front page and keep up the good work!

KobraEditing responds:

thanks for the review

Pretty damn good

I really enjoyed this, and considering all the L4D flashes so far have been garbage, this was a welcome surprise.

The graphics were nice, as one user commented, it is almost in an "Awesome" style, which is neither good nor bad, but the simplicity of it ensures that there is no confusion, with more complex drawing, as things can get disorienting and hard to see, but, this is a comedy, so it is to be expected the graphics would be cartoon-y.

The sound was good, I kept expecting the witch to scream and scare the hell out of me after it loaded. Aside from that, I like how you voiced them yourself, aside from a few that sounded like clips from the game(and if not, then good work!). All in all, the sound was good. Often I find that music or SFX can be much to loud and voices to quiet, but it flowed well.

The style is related to the graphics partially, but this cartoon does a good job of capturing the frustrations and humor of the game, even if most of the jokes are quite obvious and something we all thought of when we saw them. That being said, having more of a relate able material is always good, as people can get lost if all you are doing is inside jokes you have with your friends.

Story, is nonexistent, it is a parody after all, not that that's a problem.

Overall I really liked this one, the thing is, I don't really find some things funny, such as the zombie at the beginning, or the smokers disturbing tongue, those kind of "dick joke" like humor just doesn't make me laugh at all, and I feel many parodies are ruined by having them, such as the MGS collab.

Keep up the good work, and congrats on front page

Oney responds:

thanks man!

Love it for two main reasons......

The animation style, the sketchy way the characters move looks great, many people seem to be under the impression that its lazy (not in these reviews but in general), but in fact takes more work, and it fits with the whole trippy style.

And second, the fact that this was not in any way at all like an "awesome" movie. I love Egoraptor's work, that being said, there are a ridiculous amount of damn parodies of his, and I was very glad to see this was original.

This has been mentioned before, but the voices were to quiet, whereas the sound was too loud. I did however love the way you took the existing acid name and made it like the drug, to be honest, that never once clicked in when I played the games.

Good work, keep it up, and stick to your style!

Glandrid responds:

Thanks, I guess that is my 'style' as most of my videos are kinda sketchy. Someone else also made a comment about the originality. I didn't know there was a problem with Egoraptor-like copy cats, but it doesn't really surprise me. As for the audio, I'll definitely have to try harder with it next time, that seems to be most peoples issue. Thanks for your input, I'm glad you liked it!

I like it...

I also like how you respond to the assholes that give you 0 and just say you suck. Don't ya hate em? :D

Anyway onto the review

Graphics: Simple with little color and obviously, no tweens, I personally think animating is more fun without any tweening, sort of a more flipbook style, you must too.

Animation: This is where it shines, the animation is very very fluid, and considering all the weird stuff, like eyeballs falling out, that can be tough.

Story: None, not that it matters.

Sound: Interesting song choice, it doesn't hurt the animation, but doesn't really help it to much, no comment either way.

Originality: Made up this one here, just because it is so uncommon to see something that isn't a stick figure(don't look at mine lol) or animations loaded with dick jokes. It's weird but in the best sense of that word.

Overall: I can tell a lot of work went into this and I was planning on giving it an 8, however, I really like how you bite back at the people that call your animation garbage, I know the feeling. So I bumped you up one.

A 9 out of 10, and a 5/5 good work

And congrats on front page man

Fawx responds:

actually, story: about 2. short ones albeit, but still.

Awesome!

When I saw the "OMG my house is on fire!" I laughed my ass off XD

nice ending too, a bit obvious, but still :D

Ogiyose responds:

ahahhaha

HAHA

had no idea the chief had such mad dancing skills, oh and delayed is RIGHT! lol like a lot.

And what the hell you doing not telling me you had something on NG?

MegaGamer2 responds:

Never underestimate the dance skillz of of the Chief!

I guess I didn't around to telling my friends...

Wow

Absolutely fantastic, not only was it funny, it also had great fighting, impressive effects (much better than I have ever even come close to) not to mention the part AFTER the credits blew my mind, everything was shiny and smooth, very very well done. Ugh looks like I'm gonna have to go buy flash again.....you've inspired me to make something better than yours XD

I also respect the fact that yo DIDN'T copy the exact fight, as I am sure you know I got loads of shit from people in the first saying its the same (even though it wasn't) so the second was really really different and people complained how it wasn't what happened! Watch out for that.

Graphics: Good style of characters, very true to the Chibi look. The effects were amazing and added a lot to the fight, and even the funny conversation.

Sound: Excellent sound synchronization and very nice music, although I was surprised to see the blow me away halo song, but it actually fit quite well.

Story: Something only Bleach fans could relate with, like the Orihime and Rukia fan thing made me laugh, and just the general Byakuya looks gay thing (he does not! hes awesome!) which might not make sense to those that don't really know Bleach.

Overall: A ten out of ten, you also gave me inspiration credit which is just awesome, but after seeing your work it looks like I am gonna have to get to work on something great...........

Ogiyose responds:

woohoo

Finally, i was waiting for ur comment. ahahhaah looks like we're inspiring each other lol. But Damn i was hoping to beat ur score T-T... ohwell taht means i gotta try harder i guess. aaanyways Thanks for takin the time, ur comment means alot ^_^.

PS, thats a reaaally long review ahahaha.

Wow

Another perfect music selection, just ONE problem, since the Strong and Strike Naruto song is so quiet in the beginning I would recommend using it earlier, so right when the fighting starts is when you hear the chanting. Because for a good 10 seconds or so, I thought you didn't have music.

I am interested to see this slightly different clothed monk fight haha lets hope he lives till the rest get there :O

Still great though, I also like how you don't over-zoom like most sprite flash artists, because they look sloppy if you do.

I also think its awesome that you respond to every review, that's rare with most artists, especially ones that have a popular series.

MaxR responds:

Thank you, I'm glad you appreciate my responses. I believe that by responding to user's reviews I can get more feedback. I know what you mean about the zooming in on sprites issue, it does make it look sloppy but it can give the artist more freedom with visual effects. Oh and about the music, I didn't think that the start was too quiet because at the start of the fight there really wasn't any music at all, sort of like a silence before something big happens.
