I love it.

Been a big fan of the stop motion animation since I was a kid, I even made a few with Dinosaurs and Tienanmen Square, as inappropriate as that sounds now...

Anyhoo, it was a nicely made, short and sweet animation. I'm guessing you were bored when you're supposed to be doing homework or something? :D

haha yea thx man

Definitely a sep up from the first

I remember watching the original a LONG time ago, and enjoying it quite a bit. I'm glad to see you continued it.

The story was pretty basic, but good. The same kind of blend of modern times and Naruto that made the first unique.

I see you've really improved your animation skills, the art style was also very good, as was the fluidity and pacing. Although there were a few jumps with some of the looped animations (Sakura walking towards Kakashi, Anbu ninja running), but everything came together quite well.

Some nice music choices, but I can't say the same for the voice acting. It's not really the voices themselves that need work, but rather, the enthusiasm. This is a pretty typical problem with voice acted movies, where a situation will call for some sort of emotion, but it still sounds like it was read off of a script. This isn't the case for every character, Kakashi and Tsunade were done quite well, but some of the other characters really missed the mark.

As far as the sound effects go, there were quite a few instances where they just didn't fit. Even so, they didn't annoy me either, so I'm pretty neutral on it.

Overall, it's a nicely animated movie utilizing well known characters in a unique situation, but the voice acting does hold this back from getting a better score.

I am glad to see you created a sequel for this, but admittedly I am a little disappointed that you haven't remade "Supernatural Fighters" yet.

DannyP responds:

Yeah, that animation with Sakura walking is a little choppy. That bit was actually made before I had a tablet, but I ended up just leaving that as is rather than redoing it. The ANBU guy running before making the hand seals was kinda lazily done, haha. I didn't think anyone would really notice, but you picked up those weak points quite well. I'll try to be less lazy about that sorta stuff in the future.

My excuse with Shikamaru, Iruka, and the ANBU voice acting is that my microphone wouldn't let me yell without it sounding all staticky (kinda messed up the ANBU's voice quality as is)... Or at least for the few situations that called for raised voices. Regarding anything else with their voices, I suppose I should practise voice acting more. This was the first time Shizune's voice actor ever tried voice acting (I know some of those voices weren't quite as I wanted them). Well, that's also my fault as the director (?) for being impatient and trying to get the project done fast. Thanks for the compliment on my Kakashi voice :P

Thanks for the detailed review, and I'm a bit surprised to hear about ol' Supernatural Fighters here and now. I had big plans for the second game, but I might just have to cut those plans much shorter if I ever wanna finish it. I was also considering actually drawing the characters instead of doing stick people. Well, it might get done someday, it might not... I haven't forgotten about my old projects and I think I would like to make a more proper fighting game someday, though :P

Not bad

I like the fluidity and pacing, but that sound (Mega Man I think?) is a bit overdone with that double Sasuke attack.

Overall I like the effects and choreography of the fight, but obviously it needs to be longer. Scenery changes wouldn't hurt either.

Good luck on your completed version.

i apreciate the tips of what i should add

Beautiful

For the record though, in that first line, it should be "you're" not "your".

Anyway, this one was really impressive, while not too high on the originality scale, your art and animation are very polished and well done, the lip syncing was also good.

I like how you also shrunk down Orihime's freakishly large eyes in that scene.

Concerning Grimmjow, he was animated flawlessly, and the part where he dives towards Ichigo looked so perfect I would swear it was from the show. The only animation bump I could see was when Ichigo was panting, it looked a little funny, then again, it did in the show as well.

Overall a nice short recreation of the show, but your artistic talent really makes up for that, glad you PMed me.

9/10

This should have much higher than a 3.84!

hrechkaness responds:

Yeah all text was copied straight from DB's translation so I didn't even bother to check for errors lol. This was an on and off project that I had to struggle through with the mouse so I'm glad how it turned out. I'm currently under way on making another one but that one won't be coming out for a long time lol. Glad you got my PM :P

Very nice

I really enjoyed the animation style you used here, very original.

The sound was decent, good music, but the voice acting was somewhat lacking. To be more specific, it was somewhat unenthusiastic. However I still commend you for adding in voice acting.

I have never seen an animation that pokes fun at Shadow of the Colossus before, so you get points for not copying other popular ideas.

The dialogue ranged from hillarious to simply humorous, it is hard to keep an animation consistent with humor when you go from randomness to relate able dialogue. But that is okay, because you had a good length of time for this kind of flash animation, so some sort of filler is necessary. I also enjoyed how you went through all of the Colossi in your animation, and didn't time skip.

Now the score of this will likely be split up the middle. Those that have played the game will find this funny and enjoyable, others will have no idea whatsoever what is happening.

9/10 Well done.

doctormario responds:

An honest appraisal, and I thank you for it. :3

Meh

It certainly wasn't poorly done, but I have just become so numb to L4D flashes, and thought the game was crap anyway.

That being said, it was nice to see a slightly more serious tone taken with this animation. After all of the "awesome" ripoff animations on Left 4 Dead, it is refreshing to see something that isn't poking fun at all the little obvious quirks of the game with annoying voices and poorly drawn characters.

You did however make a stick figure animation, and while a bit low on the "respectable animation style scale", it actually fit quite well.

And just like 666HeadSik666 said, that's the thinnest M4 I've ever seen! But this was for a school project after all, and the word "short" is right there in the title, so I was certainly not expecting a lengthy animation.

All in all, decent for a stick figure animation parodying a game I dislike.

7/10

StealthBeast responds:

Um. There's like, a whole... 6 L4D animations that ever rose to publicity lol.

Glad you could find SOME enjoyment out of this anyway.

It's funny.

It is very rare for a flash to make up an animation with sound, but you did it, although short, it was hilarious. You have a very egoraptor-ish quality to your voice, and it makes this a very funny fight scene.

The only thing would be to improve on the animation, with maybe more FPS and make it longer, at least a minute or so. Keep the sound the way it is, your next animation could be front page material.

good work.

Sweetaga responds:

Thank you, I appreciate it. Ill get started on my next one soon.

Well done

Now I typically am not a fan of animations that are too serious or depressing, but this was well done. This is on a very personal level, so it seems like something that is not intended for entertainment purposes, but is more so to prove a point.

So first of is the graphics, I liked the way the main character looks and overall the animation is well colored and coordinated. The backgrounds looked nice as well.

The animation was a bit choppy at certain points, but you really got a very fluid running animation, and that is hard to do. Also I liked how some of your background had looped movement.

The story was nice with a good element of suspense and emotion to it, and so it makes the character (or you) more real.

The sound, I am torn on this, while the music is fantastic, the sound clips are a bit lacking, the sound of him running almost sounds like he is running through little puddles, even though he is on the sidewalk, and later the grass(in which case, this would fit). But it is nice to see voiced animations.

The idea is the main selling point, the fact that it is a story of your life makes it more significant and relevant than the typical flash animation submitted to NG. I also think the title is very eye catching, good choice there.

Overall an 8/10
I can tell a lot of work has been put into this, with good drawings, animation and music. Looking forward to the next one!

Dead2Animations responds:

Wow.....thanks for a great review, I have just got a new microphone so there will be no more crappy sounds. Everything in the next episode is going to be a very gripping session for me, I have almost come to the point of crying bringing up these bad memories and are most certain tears will run in the making of my next episode. Thanks for a good review!

I like it

The thing is, the first one was just flat out hilarious, so it is pretty tough to top it with a sequel, Tails exploding was pretty damn funny however. But I would have rather seen Vegeta win :D

The graphics took an odd turn though, they seem better, but in a weird way, it is drawn better, but it doesn't use the right style the first one had, if that made any sense at all.

The sound was good, I like how you kept that same song for the intro, the voices weren't bad, but not fantastic either.

There wasn't much for fighting, not that it's a surprise, it was one sided, like the first, but again, lacked the charm the first had. The part with Vegeta stomping on Sonic's head and cracking the planet in half is one of the best scenes in any parody flash.

Overall it was still enjoyable, but you can set up for disappointment by adding a sequel to a classic :)

Rikimaru-Azlar responds:

WOW, that was a fantastic review. You're comments are very useful indeed. You broke everything down and got your points across quickly and efficiently. You have a gift for writing ThiefCopy. Thanks for checking the movie out and sorry it let you down a bit.

We are a 2 man team, Rikimaru-Azlar : Paddy-Andie

Andie made the original and I made this one. Good news for you I hope is that i think this has provoked him to put the series to bed and I know doing so will require a decent coreagraphed fight scene and unpresidented gore.
Thanks again for getting me thinking.

hmmm not bad

Considering the lack of MH flashes, this was a welcome surprise.

Everything and everyone was drawn very well, I also liked the little character info thing you tossed in there. The music was funny and fit quite well.

The sound syncing was off by quite a bit, which is a shame because it looks like you put a lot of effort into voices and mouth movement. It may just be me however. So if it is, just disregard that comment.

Also, even though this is a MH flash, as an avid MH player I couldn't really relate to this. Kut-Ku runs are great easy quests for money, so people always want to do them. Also, I don't get the gun thing. He couldn't shoot normal shots, which would be 1/2/3, now I understand that he had normal shots in his gun, but then how did he shoot in the first place when his bullet bounced off? Didn't really get it. Now, this is likely more of a type of inside joke with your friends, but I think it would have worked out better if you chose a more relate-able topic. Such as plate runs, Uppercut GS attacks, Pellet shots, people asking how you got dragon armor. Stuff like that.

(The plate runs is a MH PS2 thing)

The pronunciation of some things threw me off though. Like Wyvern, Kut-ku, and such.

Ever play MHP2G? The English version should be out this year, but the Japanese has been out for a while, the Cat partner would be a great thing to make fun of. There are also some other additions that you could easily work with. (Great game too by the way)

Now this animation had some flaws, but overall I enjoyed watching, and it is rare to see an MH animation anyway. Good work!

VikingLock responds:

Thank you for your review the story only lack MH related topic because i haven't play it for awhile.
