[Animator vs Animation III]

One of the best animations on this site.

I try not to give out tens too often, but this is deserving of it.

I'm in awe at the level of choreography skills you have. It's incredibly original, brilliantly paced, and is lengthy without getting redundant.

Definitely the best way possible to end the trilogy, it's superior to the previous ones, and it's rare to see that.

The interactions with the desktop icons and minesweeper were fantastic. So many things happening at once, and yet it flows so well. Most importantly, it isn't so fast paced that it's indistinguishable (a problem with many stick flashes lately).

The sound direction is great with the exception of the Megaman "charge up" sound. I find that it's rather overused, but it's overshadowed by the fact that the rest is perfect.

Well deserving of the high scores and front page, good luck on your future projects, I'll be looking out for them.

[C. Crashing a Wedding]

Pretty good.

I always like seeing more Castle Crashers stuff on this site.

The twist is a nice addition, as it didn't really change the way things actually happened, but gave a different perspective.

The audio was all very good, and I actually didn't know Rina Chan did the voices in the game. The "help me" sounded just like in the game, I was impressed at her ability to copy it, but go figure, it was her in the first place..

The animation could use a little bit of work. The art style itself is fine, but there are a few awkard transitions. The part where the red guy is thrown draws out and stretches in a bit of a strange way for example. I'd also like to see a bit faster pacing, some things were drawn out just a little too long (like the final poison shot to kill the boss).

Overall it was very nicely done. I hope the "to be continued" is actually going to be followed through on. The unfortunate Orange guy was also a welcome addition.

[Dot Dot Dot - Animated]

Fantastic

I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked on a flash animation with such a simple name and a simple picture, but I'm glad I did.

It's been said before, but I'll say it again, EPIC voice. You could read just about anything and it would be entertaining. Throughout the animation I was laughing, and when you said BEE-A-COO-EZ, I lost it.

More than anything though, the concept is so simplistic, yet brilliant. I always laugh at people who leave reviews like that, and the fact that you even pronounced words in the original horribly wrong way made it so much better.

I would love to see you do more of these, I can't imagine it would be difficult to find the material necessary.

However, I think the animator isn't getting enough credit. The voice is the core of it, but the animation is incredibly fluent, and has a great choreography to it. There's multiple angles, rotations and other visual effects that compliment the audio very well.

Great job guys, well deserving of the front page.

[Stationary RACERS]

I love it.

Been a big fan of the stop motion animation since I was a kid, I even made a few with Dinosaurs and Tienanmen Square, as inappropriate as that sounds now...

Anyhoo, it was a nicely made, short and sweet animation. I'm guessing you were bored when you're supposed to be doing homework or something? :D

[Ryu: Then and Now]

There's a trend starting.

First off, the animation and sound was fantastic, there's almost no point in even including a rating here, cause they're always top notch.

Even though this animation is older, like your new Halo Reach flash animation, this cartoon is a good example of why you shouldn't stray from what made your cartoons great in the first place.

Your earlier animations focused heavily on taking out little quirks in games and making fun of them with hilarious results. However, when you make a story around something completely unrelated, it's therefore unrelatable to the target audience (in this case SF) and it's not as well received.

Your great animations have something in common, and that is that they're a "you had to be there", or in this case, "you had to play the game", with some funny voice acting to appeal to everyone. What the newer ones are missing are the former. Your animation keeps getting better, you voice acting never disappoints, but don't forget that the ridiculous RELATABLE scenarios are what truly complete your animations to the perfect 10 level.

[Awesome Reach]

Well...

This animation has all the good randomness of an Egoraptor animation, but something is off.

While your animation and voice acting is fantastic as usual, the fact that the animation is purely about two guys excited about Reach feels too low on the scale of what you typically do.

Most of your animations are of games that you have played yourself, so you're able to poke fun at all the little things that people will enjoy if they've played the game as well.

With this one, it's funny in the crazy, ridiculous, random way, but there's no real substance to it.

Graphics: They've come a long way. It's still done in a "so bad it's good" way, but it's smoother and cleaner than your earlier animations. A pretty big improvement.

Sound: Voice acting was top notch, you're very good at hitting that comedic pitch that makes everyone laugh.

Story: Simplistic and crazy. Not sure whether or not it's a jab or not at those that were excited for Reach.

Overall: There's no way I could give this a bad score, the sound quality and animation is fantastic. I do however feel that it was somewhat wasted on an idea that didn't go as in depth as it could have.

[The Copy Ninja's Return]

Definitely a sep up from the first

I remember watching the original a LONG time ago, and enjoying it quite a bit. I'm glad to see you continued it.

The story was pretty basic, but good. The same kind of blend of modern times and Naruto that made the first unique.

I see you've really improved your animation skills, the art style was also very good, as was the fluidity and pacing. Although there were a few jumps with some of the looped animations (Sakura walking towards Kakashi, Anbu ninja running), but everything came together quite well.

Some nice music choices, but I can't say the same for the voice acting. It's not really the voices themselves that need work, but rather, the enthusiasm. This is a pretty typical problem with voice acted movies, where a situation will call for some sort of emotion, but it still sounds like it was read off of a script. This isn't the case for every character, Kakashi and Tsunade were done quite well, but some of the other characters really missed the mark.

As far as the sound effects go, there were quite a few instances where they just didn't fit. Even so, they didn't annoy me either, so I'm pretty neutral on it.

Overall, it's a nicely animated movie utilizing well known characters in a unique situation, but the voice acting does hold this back from getting a better score.

I am glad to see you created a sequel for this, but admittedly I am a little disappointed that you haven't remade "Supernatural Fighters" yet.

Yeah, that animation with Sakura walking is a little choppy. That bit was actually made before I had a tablet, but I ended up just leaving that as is rather than redoing it. The ANBU guy running before making the hand seals was kinda lazily done, haha. I didn't think anyone would really notice, but you picked up those weak points quite well. I'll try to be less lazy about that sorta stuff in the future.

My excuse with Shikamaru, Iruka, and the ANBU voice acting is that my microphone wouldn't let me yell without it sounding all staticky (kinda messed up the ANBU's voice quality as is)... Or at least for the few situations that called for raised voices. Regarding anything else with their voices, I suppose I should practise voice acting more. This was the first time Shizune's voice actor ever tried voice acting (I know some of those voices weren't quite as I wanted them). Well, that's also my fault as the director (?) for being impatient and trying to get the project done fast. Thanks for the compliment on my Kakashi voice :P

Thanks for the detailed review, and I'm a bit surprised to hear about ol' Supernatural Fighters here and now. I had big plans for the second game, but I might just have to cut those plans much shorter if I ever wanna finish it. I was also considering actually drawing the characters instead of doing stick people. Well, it might get done someday, it might not... I haven't forgotten about my old projects and I think I would like to make a more proper fighting game someday, though :P

[naruto vs sasuke preview]

Not bad

I like the fluidity and pacing, but that sound (Mega Man I think?) is a bit overdone with that double Sasuke attack.

Overall I like the effects and choreography of the fight, but obviously it needs to be longer. Scenery changes wouldn't hurt either.
